I've found built4g63.com to be the best $ to date. May not be the absolute cheapest, but comes close and the communication is very quick/professional. It's all about the $AUD at the moment tho =(

haha! You're right guys. I was actually going to get these second hand ones and pair them up with new ARP2000 rod bolts, but even then I wouldn't be able to sleep easy at night unless I got them tested (it's like having a one-night stand without protection)...and if I get them tested + cost of...

He reckons they were in his built motor pushing big numbers with 'no issues' then 'upgraded to other Rods in line with other upgrades'. That's the part that got me suspicious - why would you go through the trouble/cost of changing rods if not required.

Looking at buying some second hand Eagle h-beams for the build. Without using precision measuring equipment, is there a way I can inspect these to be sure they are fit for purpose? Obvious one is big end/piston pin surfaces. However I have heard of these rods stretching/twisting. How can I...

Guys and girls, I've recently gone through the exercise of replacing all the door, boot and bonnet rubbers as well as the exterior garnishes on the CC sedan. For those interested, I've attached a spreadsheet with part numbers, descriptions and approximate Amayama prices as at December 2014...

if you're welding up the centre diff I think it would be worthwhile hacking up the VC and welding it up as well. would save a couple kilos as a minimum.

for E85 you would want to get a walbro 400lph intank (or equivalent), 1000cc injectors, and a wideband if that's what your ECU requires...
