So what part is "347-dis" quoting then? I reckoned I might be able to get away without balancing it, I guess it depends how much the part weighs that could be manufactured not quite in balance so once replaced will put out the balance of the whole shaft.

I agree with you there Rob except for the bit about changing globes as on many new cars this is getting to be (rightly or wrongly) quite a difficult task.

If you have ABS, water flicks up all over the modulator and it fucks up withouthem, and as Dan pointed out you get stones everywhere..

Can also be the centre universal, as seen in this pic on the left. The bearing is on the right, I beleive this as mentioned ^^^ is the first to bugger up.

pft that don't happen in my Mitsubishi, you have no idea how many input shafts are laying around the workshop... they make the perfect clutch alignment tool. late model STI's have a stronger 6 speed box that if you break that you are making SERIOUS power.
