    Want your ECU socketed?

i wouldnt imagine having the EPROM external to the actual ECU would be too much of a problem. You would just want to keep the length as SHORT as POSSIBLE 30-45cm. I am by no means an electrical engineer but i believe the reasoning behind that is interference and resistance, you look at any...

    engine number vr4

Here is the trademe listing. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/mitsubishi/engines/auction-389204702.htm If its a factory VR4/EVO 1/3 motor it will/should have oil squirters. unless they were removed during the rebuild. but the seller is saying it doesnt, so either he thinks...

    engine number vr4

Looks like a VR4 motor, that flywheel is from a VR4, its deffinatly a 6 Bolt which is a VR4 (EVO's are 7 Bolts). Intake looks VR4 because it has Cyclone/Turbo/Intercooler. If deffinatly a 2.0L block with the 4G63 engine number. Rocker cover is wrong, AFAIK all VR4's were red, NA's/4G61T's and...

    engine number vr4

The actual engine number wont really tell you if its a VR4 motor or not. You generally tell by the bits attached to the engine, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, throttle body, CAS etc. Post some pictures.

Sard 800cc Injectors, Car Alarm and Fuel Rail

deadtime is the time taken from engerizing the injector opening coil to the time it actually takes to open. this time varies between voltages and is different for every injector. the datasheet should have voltages (9v,10v,11v,12v,13v,14v etc) and the deadtime required (600u, 800u,1100u etc)

    Automatic Transmission for evo 1/2/3?

Harden up princess, EVO's are meant to be manuals. :P But if you really insist on converting to an suckomatic, you will need a auto box from a 95+ RVR along with its rear diff as auto's use a different ratio. You will also need its auto ecu. The wiring is pretty straight forward. There are...

Link computer, bov, fuel pump and turbo

Link Electro Systems Link? Or ECMLink? FYI Link Plus G3's have the same hardware as a G4 and are firmware upgradable to G4 spec. Tradme.co.nz could net a new Link reasonably cheaply using the great exchange rate.

    4G63 Lifter Tap

Proma MBL8 is just an additive you mix in with an oil change. I have used it numerous times with great success. As Brian said, the ticking can return usually just before a oil change is due. YMMV. Alternatively, you can also pop the lifters out and soak then overnight in carby cleaner. This has...

    Advice on removing rounded bolt...

LOL! I can see may swear words coming. Could try freeze spray, oxy, butane soldering iron, WD40. I would hammer bash the next size down imperial multi-point socket on to then kick it off. Which one did you round, the filler or the drain? I have quite a few spares of them if you want a...
