ok fellas after sorting out the thermo fan fiasco. i've been able to run the motor alil more.
and i've encountered to odd things.
1) at around 1800-2000 rpm the motor hunts (it only does this at that rev range go beyond this range and it'll hold fine it'll also idle just fine.) <1800 until you hit the hunt spot will run up fine then there seems to be a 200 rpm hole where it'll hunt once you get outa the hole it's fine once again.
2) i don't seem to be making alot of boost (i managed to wire in my boost guage today.) and while you can hear the turbo spool and get that all to familiar turbo induction noise my boost guage dosn't register any more than 1 psi (digital guage) until your litteraly ringing it's neck at 6000 rpm and even then the highest i've seen was 6 psi for a split second before i backed off the throttle (i only managed this reading once every other time it might creep over to 2 or 4 psi but usualy only stays at 1 psi.) i tested the guage was working by giving the guage a squirt of presurised air from the compressor and it read a soild 16 psi. waste gate isnt stuck open also tested it with low pressure form the compressor and actuator is moving like it should from closed to open holding while theres presure and back again once released.
i thought it might be the bov leaking presure which it seemed it was so i swaped in another i have here and it still does the same.
