What colour skunks do you want Dan?

I'm getting these:

I'll be ordeing by the end of the week for anyone interested.

Going off the website quotes, shipping gets heaps better with the more sets ordered.

1 set shipped is $284.55US = $299.46AUD
2 sets shipped is $504.42US = $530.85AUD ($265.43 per pair)
3 sets shipped is $724.28US = $762.24AUD ($254.08 per pair)
4 sets shipped is $940.48US = $989.77AUD ($ 247.44per pair)

Where did you find that picture of the cam gears Vsthis?
The keyway looks like a Honda unit?
Do you have the link to where the pic is as I could not find any 4g63 gears that looked like that?

I'm going to check the finances and I'll get back to you. I'd really be keen to know exactly what the 4G63 ones look like!

I'd be in for them if they are the ones to get... just ordered some cams so it would be good to be able to dial them in to get the best out of them.

I got the pic from here: http://www.racingworks.com/skunk2_cam_gears.htm

And i'd say they are a Honda keyway. I'll email them tonight to see if they can send me any pics of the 4G63 ones. I'm guessing they will be exactly the same, just with the right keyway.

So who's in?

VSTHIS-Silver
GSR5OL-Silver
WindeX-??colour
? ENGINR-??colour

Good idea to check because I am pretty sure they are not the same as that pic.
The 4g63 tuner series is the gear in the middle of the other two in this pic.
Their pictures on the site are pretty vague.

Yeah Dan and I figured that the 4G63 ones were the pic in the middle on the previous page. Think of it this way, its easier to keep clean if you have a clear timing cover - just wipe it with a cloth and walah! no need to clean in between any spokes

Before you order...

What's your opinions on the ONSOKU cam gear?
They're the cheapest out of the bunch, and they look like they have a solid centre, or is it open? I need a larger computer screen.

I'm looking at doing a timing belt change soon, so I'm after a belt and a bit of bling, I already have that clear cam belt cover. :D

Wouldn't the Pro Series ones be the better pair given they're the higher grade of aluminium?

But I like the look of those Tuner ones - nice and solid (if they ARE the 4G63 ones).

What day are you placing the order?

A clear timing cover? Ohhhhhhhh c'mon - you gotta be kidding!?

Next you'll want neons and all the rest of that Fast 'n' Furious crap!?

I've emailed racing works and once they get back to me i'll place the order. I'll pm you in the morning and discuss details if you want.

And what's wrong with a bit of bling??? I'll need this to go with my motec system exhaust i just ordered!

If the Skunk2 Tuner series are the ones in the middle of the image (ie have the solid coloured centre like the ones in Dan's pic) then I'm in for a pair. I don't want them if they have the arms.

I am 99% sure the 4g63 ones have solid centre :)

Do the 4G63 ones have the position indicator marks on them?

I'm almost 99% committed to saying 'yes' to a silver pair.

Do you mean the marks you use to do the timing? If so then yes my Pro gears do so I would say the Tuner gears would as well.

From looking at the blue gear in the pic it looks like the timing marks are on the outward face of the wheel centre.

I emailed them yesterday and they haven't replyed back to me yet. Either way, I'm still going to get them because both designs look like they will handle the job. I'll be placing my order on monday.

I'll post up more info when they reply to my email.
