The Americans have been on a week-long holiday - it's their 4th July time off - so you won't hear anything from them until next week.

I actually heard back from Racing works this morning. And the news wasn't good!

These items are no longer available in quantity. We do have one set of Silver left in stock.

1 pair = $277.85
2 pairs =$525.06 = $262.53 each
3 pairs =$774.21 = $258.07 each
4 pairs =$1023.37 = $255.84 each

I got the Skunk2 gears from Ebay and they sent me the Pro gears instead.
It does look like the price has gone up as I paid $139 US + Shipping for mine.
This is them, they have a pretty titanium look and are VERY light.

GHEY!

Maybe I should just get the Fidanza ones? Was there one set of the tuner gears in stock? or the pro gears?

I emailed the above ebay seller direct at the company and he's already gotten back to me with a quote and a couple of emails.

He's quoted me $170US a pair if we get 4 or 5 pairs plus $70us shipping.

Thats $195.69AUD each delivered if we get 4 pairs.

I've just emailed him to find out how many of each colour he has in stock.

Pm me for definate orders with colour preference

So these are for the Pro series cam gears right? I've spoken to a few people at work and they've told me to go the lighter and stronger material if I've got a choice between the two grades - so if they're the Tuner series I'm going to pass.

I want the Pro-Series - I reckon the lighter material will help the engine rev better, plus it's harder material (aeronautical grade aluminium!) plus I can visualise in my head how you'd adjust the position of the cams. I'm having trouble working out in my head how the centre of the Tuner-Series would be easily moved for adjustments.

Some useful info from some website browsing (http://www.skunk2.com/cgi-bin/kb.cgi?do=read&id=167&lang=)

We recommend you degree your camshaft for optimal results as they are not meant to be set to zero like factory camshafts. There is another option called "quick settings" in which you can set the cam gears to get close to the correct setting as if they were degreed in. We mean close because it is not spot on like degreeing the cam so we can no take responsibility for what may occur as there are too many variables to consider like a milled block, new pistons, clearance (valve to valve, piston to valve), etc. For quick settings it is important (life or death of the motor) to know which cam gears you have as the settings are different on the pro series and tuner series cam gears. For the Tuner (silver, red, or blue finish) series, Pro 1 quick settings are +1.5 intake and +2 exhaust. The quick settings for the Pro-series cam gears (titanium finish) are double meaning +3 intake and +4 exhaust. You can refer to pg 17 for these settings in our new catalog (available pdf online) and pg 21 on how to degree in a cam. We hope this helps.
