Alloy Racing Radiators

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

Thanks George, if those alloy cores are 40mm, do you know the thickness of the stock EVO radiator core? If these alloy ones are same thinckness I think I might buy one as the ASI item I bought reviously was about 5mm too thick and I couldnt get my exhaust manifold in lol.

i think the asi ones are 48mm(really a guess at this stageim sorry mate) but i dont have mine here to check rob im sorry. also if that core is 8mm thinner it may only give you 4mm as the core might be centralised, i guess. i can confirm the core thickness on monday night if need be

Sorry about the late reply. On my ASI radiator, the thickness of the top and bottom tank is about 63mm The core would be about 55mm. I've had mine for nearly 2 years so i'm not sure if they have changed the design at all.

^^^ $545AU + shipping.... dammmmmmmnnnnnnn :( The 36mm core thickness is exactly for us boys with custom tubular manifolds that stiuck out a fair bit.

if damos is 55mm then i have a feeling the asi radiators are now might be 42mm cores, i thought i saw it somewhere, could bewrong.

rob,it might be worth sending asi an email to confirm.

also it looks like they may now do full custom radiators for $400

Now that'll fkn fit! Only a 1" thick core but wonder how it cools... cheap too for only $230 delivered!

Are the fittings on the bottom for a trans cooler or something?

The core size sounds identical to stock, I'd want to compare the fin density and core construction up close first, you could very well end up going backwards.

Another option that not many seem to take is the honda style narrow (but thicker) radiator:
