thats just a poor designed traction device.... for the purpose of this post ill call it a p-grip...
in design, there should be no direct pressure contact between the p-grip and the diff pin, also the p-grip should be wide enough to fill the whole diff center and have a locating relief for the diff pin... with these all made to spec the p-grip should not be able to leave the center (esp if you can bolt it to the crown wheel)
the roll pin, that holds the diff pin has to be upgraded so its strong enough to secure the diff pin.
the force put on the diff side gears should run appropriate shims, wih a few oil reliefs in the face..
the whole unit will have to be re-shimed to remove any excessive freeplay from the fitment of the p-grip.
the only bad point of the unit is that it puts alot of stress on the diff center housing and the side bearings, but aslong as they are all shimed to suit you will be fine.
ive designed, manufactured and fitted many of these units, and have never had a failure yet, but in saying that they are only a traction device and a no where near an lsd... but they do help over a full open diff...
also some idiots break them and bitch and cry and carry on.... just because they build a 600hp engine but are too tight to buy a proper lsd in the first place....
