Seriosuly it aint that bad
Yeah it's not that bad. I just wish they'd do more car reviews
and less stupid challenges. I want a car show that reviews cars,
not JackAss the Car Show.
Interior needs more red lol.

I don't mind the look of the W427. The lap times are impressive IMO, considering the size of the commodore compared with an elise, but could still be improved....

The interior must be the current flavor, their C4B powered VT2 GTS was the same and a photo of AM's DB9 interior bellow..

yeah i've never really been a fan of the stars review thing, but i guess that's how they keep their ratings up with non car enthusiasts

i'm liking it more and more except for the douchebag cartoonist guy. it's so obvious they are trying to make him the james may geeky boring one.

I'm sick to death of Aussie Top Gear. They're still trying too hard to be like the Poms and the car challenges are just stupid (like last night - "Let's take 4WDs out to the bush" ooohh that's a tough one....).

Bring back the British series I say!!

I heard a saying recently that there are those who follow, then there are those who create and inspire others. No points in guessing which category the Aussie show falls into  The Aussie Top Gear show is trying so hard to be like the British version that its difficult for us not to compare them to eachother as the Aussie boys just cant pull it off and its coming off as a C-grade ripoff. We [Aussies] should have come up with our own Top Gear show and turned it into something special instead of cloning the British version. If the producers stop trying to mimic the British version and come up with a normal show (without the crappy lame jokes that arent even funny) then we will see it in a different context and take it more seriously IMO.

you guys hear jeremy is in trouble for his "murder a prostitiute" comment while he was driving the truck... after all the shit with the radio guys a week or so ago over here everyone is a bit touchy so it didnt go down well

It was a bit bad taste, but then again what do you expect from Clarkson.

They should get the guy from the rhonny john's half hour that does the Chopper Reid impersonation.
Vote 1 for Uncle Chop Chop!

I'd watch it if they got a REAL aussie bloke to give his opinion on a car. For example most of the show would be [bleep] this and [bleep] that piece of [bleep] stink mother [beep]ing [beep]n excuse for a car, tell me.. what the [bleep]n [beeeeeeeeeeeeeep bleeeeeeeeeeeeeep bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep] were they bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepn thinking!!!! lol :D And now and then I'd like a review in only 5 words or less.... something like "I dont like it! It's fukt!" lol

If I was casting the show, the number 1 guy I'd want to forefront it would be RUSSELL INGALL!!!! He has a top personality and is a real funny bastard. PLUS, he is a well respected man with a lot of experience and knowledge in the industry :D

I think the fact that the original TopGear is so good, and the hosts interact so comfortably, that it's unlikely any 'copy' is ever going to live up to peoples expectations.
Like sequels to great movies.

Or the people who go on ***Idol singing a song by Freddy Mercury, or Meatloaf, they're making life harder for themselves by copying something that was very good in the first place.

Can anybody tell me who the hell these Aussie presenters are and where they came from? They ALL have the personality of dead fish and as much as they attempt to be funny, it's remotely not the case. Infact, it embarasses me as an Australian...

Did anyone watch it last night? Series 2 is on air now, must say that the deletion of Charlie Cox from the presenters list will keep me watching it for another season :p James Morrison is the new host and IMHO seems to be a decent enough addition, and his performances will only get better (more natural) with the role as the episode's progress!

James Morrison is an aussie Jazz musician who has experience hosting arguably the worlds first ever motoring entertainment show 'Behind the Wheel' many centuries ago. He was also the fastest around the track in the 'Star in a reasonably priced car' segment in series 1.

At least the show seems to be on the right track now... The segment where they were imitating bouncing items from the trampoline in to the hatchback was gold!

Still a bit baffled how the evo was getting owned off the line by the line beamer?
BMW 135i - 225kW, 400Nm, 5.3s 0-100km/hr (factory claim) 1555kg, 13.3s 1/4 mile (factory claim)
Evo X - 217kW, 360Nm, 1420kg

Oh well... maybe I'm just a little bias?

i thought it wasnt bad either-my mrs loved it.

the evo was not being launched in launch control which would make a pretty massive difference. they were using it on the bm though.
