While pumping some BP ultimate into my car tonight, I noticed that someone from the auto electricians where my car was today has curbed almost all of my left rear wheel, and about 12-2 oclock on the front.

im not a happy chappie

take it up with the auto elects.. thats why when i take my car anywhere i set a 3000rpm rev limit...

Jon

yeah thats a good idea, the only thing is, I dont have any idea when it comes to fucking around with the ECU etc to set it.

does anyone know how hard it is to fix the curb marks without taking the wheel off?

ive never curbed any mags in my life!!

take it back and tell them off....
get them to pay for damage!

to repair, u've pretty much gotta sand it all the way back..

DAMN that sux :(

But know how this works :( Unless you have before and after photos and they signed saying they were unmarked before they got your car, it your word against theres :(
Lets hope they play nice and accept blame

Unless Im getting dyno work done on my car I'll either set it to stock boost or even disconnect the actuator from the wastegate completely.

yeah mate good luck ... they wont often take blame for that sort of thing ... "bad for business"

yep, sure enough he denied it all, but he said that he'd help me get them fixed, i.e take care of the labour.

what do you have to do to get them fixed? machine them then polish lip?

I know what you mean exactly. I gave my mate the keys to have a drive in my old cordia, and he promptly wrote it off. I'm an idiot in the first place but ive learned my lesson.

Hope you get everything sorted out mate, good luck.

Cheers,
Nick

how bad is it?
got a pic?

The gutter rash runs halfway around the rim. It's nasty, no actual damage to the lip past the rash tho, like no bend or anything. There's a minor dint where it started and some serious scraping.

I WILL NOT follow this up in this post (no hijacking here), but

Nashstyle -

don't remove the wastegate actuator vacuum line, unless you want to give the maximum boost.......................

Start another post if you wanna know more...

hey mike,, i think he's referring to the actualy arm .. so basically the flap will be left open fully... = no boost..

Thought so, hence reference to vacuum line.
Better to be safe than sorry.
