Black stripe on bonnet?

Does anyone know if there is white paint under the black pin stripe on our bonnets?

I'm wanting to paint it, but if it easier to rub the black off then I may do that...

Only reason I ask is that it already wipes off very slightly when I wash my car... I used to think I missed some dirt on the bonnet, but then realised its actually the black paint fading and dripping on to the white bonnet!

Has anyone else noticed that?

It rubs off really easily. The best way would be to sand it back, primer then paint. An easy job really
