driving up springvale road like you normally do on a wednesday afternoon after uni to catch up with a few mates when you see a highway patrol car goin in the opposite direction..

you think nothing of it until u look in the rear view mirror and see it do a u-turn over a 5 metre nature strip and catches up to you and pulls you over.. pigs these days, nothing better to do :evil:

ended up getting done for being too low and my bov.. they also fined me $177 for driving an unsafe vehicle and they wouldn't let me drive my car to my friends place which was 2 blocks away.. they waited till the tow truck came to pick up my car before they left.. lucky i was with racv and the tow truck was free .. won't forget the last part he said for me.. "we don't like your car in this area, so you better not come back".. fu(king pigs..

btw.. anyone got stock gsr springs for me to borrow for a roadworthy?

some guy driving a VT commodore with 3 others in the car the other day thought i'd be funny to hang the arse out doing a right turn in traffic into punt road... the fuckhead lost control and nearly t-boned me while i was stopped at the red light... why don't our "police" go after ******* like this instead of car enthusiasts?

i didn't get done for my rims.. only for it being too low.. one of cops were okay.. but the other one was a full on cocky ****.. gave me attitude from the moment he asked me to open my bonnet..

thats where the hoon laws have come in to effect, but unfortunatly for people like that they give people like us a bad name and make us look like hoons by driving modified cars. we really have no way out of it unless we dont drive them on the street and leave it to the track. and lets face it, some of the cars we own shouldnt be driven on the street at all but there lies the fun

FU(K'n cops, they see all enthuesits as hoons, if your car looks nice your a hoon. if you've got P plates your a hoon, if you have custom plates your a hoon, when will they give up. Unless your 50 balding and drive a Rod or a brand new car, they wont class you as hoon.

you should just disconnect your bonnet release and next time it happens go sorry officer my bonnet release cable has snaped and im unable to open it.

We can all start making stainless covers over the sides of the engines so when they pop the bonnet they see fu(k all except their own reflections :wink:

One of my friends got done the other day for a venting BOV and he said the chicky cop pulled out a list with pictures and was comparing them to identify what sort of BOV he had fitted. He had a turbosmart type 2 atmo venting but he told me that mine was on the list for being blacklisted as well.

I'm pretty peed off because I paid good money for a GFB Stealth BOV which you can turn the top to be either full atmo venting or full plumb-back. I mean how reduiculous is that?? Just because it has the 'potential' to be illegal in atmo mode dont make it illegal if its plumb-backed on the street and atmo on the track. If thats the case then all road users should be fined for speeding as every car has the 'potential' to speed!!

While the cop was doin that, my mate walked back to his car while the cop was talking (lol) got his phone n said his callin the ombrusman (cbf spellin) he called the yellow pages n asked for the office

INSTANTLY the cop said he was sorry and said he just gets worked up "because these cars are dangerous"

why not just have a 100% plumbback

So I can switch between the 2 modes by a quick flick of the wrist whenever I want - best of both worlds. Out my way the cops dont really look at cars so you could leave it venting externally but if you go into town you could shift it to plumback because those cops in Newcastle like ot pull over people and conduct defect inspections on a regular basis.
