Hey guys just wondering as I can't find much on the net but when running a 8psi actuator on a td05 16g such has the internal waste gate and you added a boost valve can you add more boost than the 8psi or is the waste gate actuator the limit for boost

The wastegate will be your starting point, you won't be able to go less than 8psi, but can increase boost above 8psi.

The general rule is to run an actuator rated at half of your intended boost level. If you intend to run 30psi then get a 1 bar/14.7psi actuator.

Thanks clutz I'm not planning on going over 16psi so all good then with the 8psi one what dump pipes may be a good option is a screamer legal in qld ? Was thinking a 2.5inch on the impeller and a screamer pipe for the waste gate instead of plumbing back into the exhaust

I'm running one of those on a 20g, so it should be fine for the 16g you're going to use.

Are you running a 4g93?or63 with that 20g and when does it come on full boost.16g should be on full boost at 3000rpm or would that change with higher compression and lower boost

4g93 , I think I'm on full boost (25psi) at about 3,500. - but that's running e85.

If you run higher compression and a 16g you will see full boost a lot earlier but will be limited to how much boost you can run.

Get the MAPerformance screamer...much better quality than the one above.
I have heard of heaps of complaints about that one not having a flat face etc.
I have the MAP one and its quality is awesome.

Are you sure it wasn't the ebay copies that didn't have the flat face?

Mine was perfectly square when I received it and I'd be surprised if it'd warp considering the flange on it is 18mm thick.

They have a lifetime warranty too, so even if you did have an issue they would replace it for you.

Lifetime warranty but you would most likely have to cough up for the postage there and back which would be a killer.
Both types were mentioned in the thread I was reading somewhere.
