well dont you hit fuel cut on a stock ecu unchipped at around 15psi.?
well nah only pin i dont have connected is the closed idle switch for the afm but it was running sweet before and i cant think when it just started, im gunna go get it dynoed i think, see if blackvr's computers and shit can check whats wrong..
my engine is Perfect now, i mean it, not one leak, not one sound, not one stray wire..
i cant get my head around it..
ill keep this thead posted.
Matt

Its not "fuel" cut as such, its airflow cut. Can you give us a run down on the things that you have swapped over to check whats wrong?

afm, ecu, new leads, 3 diff knock sensors, turbo, bov..
tightened all bolts, engine mounts, engine is whisper silent..
tidyed up wiring, made sure all grounds were connected to the right spot..

still get mass knock at like 2500 under any throttle condition which then pulls timing and screws up everything till redline, i ease it past about 4 k then plant it and whoppy feels like a rocket

im sorry for going off topic...

but when ECU is seeing air flow value from AFM that exceeds the
maximum value of air flow allowed by ECU, what is ECU
disableing/cutting to prevent this from happening???

i would say fuel cut is still correct term to use even thou
its happening because of too much airflow.

it could have been called airflow cut if these engines had fly-by-wire
and ecu was closing the TB in such conditions instead of stopping
fuel delivery.

correct me if im wrong..

and also good to hear you got your car running again matt, once
you sort out that knock problem then its time to organise that SA cruise!:D

If you really wanna get technical its injector cut

But really, I was trying to tell mattrat that its not about a certain PSI that it kicks in, its a certain amount of air that the AFM is reading. You could get it on 15psi in a really efficient setup, or 18psi in a less efficient setup. I used to get it at 17psi with a stock VR4 with 3" and pod on a cool night.

yeh for sure, im hanging for one..
also was at carline yesterday speaking to peter, about what i can do dump and exhaust wise, he said you were getting bad boost creep, did his dump fix the problem? or did it give any improvment..
i remember seeing your car up on the hoise and the dump looked fairly well made...
feedback would be sweet...

and dre could u thimnk of any other things i can change??

the silver cb gsr you have seen at carline is not mine, its my friends,
and yes he does have boost issues but its due to other problems he has,
new dump pipe didnt make any diff, it only looks better :D
