Hey guys, today I picked up my car after getting a few things installed:

2G MAF
new intake pipe
800cc injectors
Chipped ECU to suit
272/272 cams

For starters, the check engine light is on. Also, it seems to be running alot worse than when I dropped it off. Its almost like the ECU is retarding the timing HEAPS. Its also struggling to hold idle.

I got home and grabbed my logger, and it isn't pulling timing, not seeing any knock, but strangely the coolant temp sensor is showing -59.0 when on a previous log, it would show around the 85 mark.

could be temp sensor?

it might sound silly but is it plugged in properly, -59 is like it has no reading at all not just out of calibration

Does this look about right:

check the engine coolant temp sensor dre,

it could be dirty contacts. i had a similar issue in the
skyline.

It will be the main temp sensor that the ecu gets it's readings from.
It is the one labeled as Engine coolant Temp sensor.
It is a double pronged unit Dre. Part number is MD069879 I think, I replaced mine a while back when it showed the same symptoms that yours is.
You don't want to know how much this little bugger is worth from the dealer

Problem found! lets just hope that it fixes it all! fingers crossed :D

Thank GOD for dataloggers!!! and the spare galant I have sitting outside

the coolant temp switch is also fucked, i'm going to re-do them both, hopefully she'll be back to its normal boosting self :D

Lucky sod!!
What base fuel pressure was your chip set up for too Dre? ( I have sard 800's too )
Mine was setup for 40psi base assuming they actually flowed 800cc.
When I fitted it the bloody thing was pig rich.
Jeff made a new chip for me and had the following to say about them...

Tim,
OK, so at only 40psi they flowed 840cc? Wow! That
would make them 876cc at the industry standard
43.5 psi rating! Quite a bit more than 800cc!

not sure about the base pressure but can find out. He (razza) did need to know the brand of injectors used though, and obviously what size.

intresting about the injectors, apparently our factory injectors flow a little more than what they're rated also

:)
