Does raising your redline alter your top speed?

um... in my GGSR its 7K at 100km 2nd gear....

I get just about 130km/h out of 2nd, Stock gear box, just changing from 13" wheels to 18"s and reving it to 8k...

So definatly bigger wheels help...

but with the bigger wheels it takes longer to get to any certain speed.


for example 0-100 on 13's 4 secs
0-100 on 18's 4.8secs

(these figures are purely for educational purposes)

They help with the end of the 1/4 if you are having to change into 5th, but your right, it is shit low down, i dont like it, but i dont have any other rims and I like the 18's...

jay thats wierd.. that exact speed your at now.. seems to be me 1000rpm higher.. what size wheels you have. i have 17's with 40's i think.
