fastest evo from factory?

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

evo 3rs for the win..with the right steerer it would take it out on the track and the strip i believe

one of the big things holding the earlier cars back on the track is the lack of 17"rims and 225/235 tyres... and the extra grip they can supply

Some stats

Hey got these from Motor Mag Feb 2007 test between the Evo 3, TME 6, EVO 9

Evo III = 203Kw/315Nm
Weight = 1256Kg

Evo VI TME = 206Kw/373Nm
Weight = 1347Kg

Evo IX = 206Kw/355Nm
Weight = 1410Kg

Volkwagen GT sport TDI = 125Kw/350Nm
Weight = 1375Kg

Interesting comparison as well folks. So what gives the best time is it
BT = Wt/(Kw+Nm) ????

They are not the RS versions or the MR's ! I wonder who would win the VW could go round 4 times longer than the Evo's however the evo's might be able to refuel once?

HAHA! theres a guy on here from bahamas with a very nice one.. don't think it was RS though..

is bahamas near jamaica? lol.. A+ geography student as you can see..

I had a look on http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/mitsubishi/lancer and did some calculations and got the best power to weight ratio out of the Evo3 RS with 166kW/1000kg.
The Evo6 RS has 163.49kW/1000kg

That EVO III RS is so light.

Has anyone got one in Vic???

70 KG the difference between a GSR and RS... Aircon, Electrics and sound deadening would take care of that wouldent it.

How much weight do you reckon you have stripped out of yours DOUGMO?

insting point...one of the boys has an e1rs made up like a gsr white someone on here used to owne it very nice has 5stud conversion n tarmacs

i would say i have stripped out well over 100kgs by removing climate,electric windows and mirrors,central locking,abs system(weighs heaps) deadener, dash bits and other stuff, etc....

easily over 100-120kgs but i reckon most of it has gone back in with the steel cage... i was hoping to get the car close to 1100kgs but i think the cage is too big and ill be more like 1150kgs

unless i lose 20kgs too
:lol:

Its amazing how much shit is in the car, my car looked like a Jeep Wrangler......

Plus i removed all the glass and electrics and the rest, but my cage is chrome moly just a tad lighter

chro mo should save about 20kgs in a cage like mine...once the main stuff is removed though its hard to get that many more kgs off

Try this

Titanium screws and bolts that would save you extra. Would cost heaps but.
When I lived in Canberra I was talking to one of the engineers of TRD when they had the WRC Corolla. It suffered from being over wieght badly so they got a whole new set of screws and bolts made out of titianium from the toyota factory (nice if you had the money). But aparantly saved them mega kilos.
So go the titanium bolts and screws boys!
In the old days Mercedes use to drill holes in the chasis where they thought that it would not matter so the chasis rail would have a long line of holes drilled not to affect its rigidity. if you google W124 Images you can see some of the diagrams have holes everywhere in the chasis.

Cheers

the evo X...?

i know its old news now but BVP have managed to put one in to the 11's with the following setup...

1. BVP Cold air intake pipe
2. BVP TURBO BACK EXHAUST SYSTEM
3. BVP o2 housing and downpipe
3. Custom FP Stock turbo (prototype)
4. Stock intercooler
5. ACT Clutch
6. TT intercooler piping
7. STOCK ECU NO PIGGY BACK SYSTEM
8. Hallman manual boost controller

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/B...O-X_157769.htm

11.991 @ 110.85mph (1.71 sixty foot)- hit the limiter in 4th

where talking stock cars not modded cars i like this bit

. Custom FP Stock turbo (prototype)

how can it be a custom turbo but yet stock?

i still think evo 6 for curcuit and prob evo 3 for drags
