went & had the idle adjusted last night, (just the screw) cos it was stalling at the lights when theres too much load on the engine (lights, fans etc) , started up after the changes were made, all good!

car drove home perfect, made power as usual, didnt stall once, not even close.

went upstaires, was ordered by my wife to go order chinese for dinner, back down to the car i go (5 mins later), start it up ..

misfiring its arse off, running rich as all fuck, will only JUST idle, misfires all the way up the range, & for the 5 mins i had it running just deteriated as the plugs fowled up, blew a few flames etc so i turned it off & called the architects of my build to get some answers.

after having a look this arvo, put some bp7es plugs into it, better, but still not right & given enough time to fowl the plugs enough will be just as bad as b4. i was instructed to pull all the plugs out & have someone crank it over to see how the plugs are sparking..

looking at the motor from the front of the car,

the two left sparks are very bright & strong, the two right sparks are very weak, maybe 1/4 as bright as the other two..!!

iv been advised its probibly the coil pack, maybe the igniter, could be crank angle sensor but not likely

has anoyone else had coil problems with their vr4?

not like yours, the problem i had was due to crap leads.. (constant removing / installing eventually lead to the ends comming off)

other than that, not really..
