Gearbox rebuilder in Melb

Not interested in the idiot out here in Ballarat.

Someone point me to someone who's GOOD in melbourne.

I want evo shift forks, double/triple (whichever) syncho's on 1st/2nd and a general rebuild (new bearings etc). I'm considering buying the 25% taller 5th from TRE too.

Anyone got any other opinions?

when i say the best, i mean the best!

call jeff from tech sport or even darren from afas..

i went through a guy named adam who's competes in the ARC..
anyway, he also uses this same guy (small world aint it??)

specialises in MITSU / WRX boxes...

he wont do any jobs for outsiders so give one of the guys i mentioned a buzz..

he installed my lsd / spool and 5th gear..

turnover time is the only problem, about 2 weeks for mine..

as for parts, jeff has em all in stock
he purchased peddars old stock from when they went from the evo 1-2-3's to the newer evo's..

as for the tre etc etc bits.. u gotta supply them, jeff and his friend will only fit them or use current parts from evo's / vr4's... etc

TRE quoted me 3200 USD for all the bits I wanted in a box.

Then I put the vr4 up for sale.

The gear is about 15% taller not 25% 25% was for GTO/Stealth.

Ahh ok, i was after the 25% 8) mmm cruise at 200kph (could almost keep up with my SV8 friends :lol: )

Why don't you give Andrew Vibert (CVAP) a call? He stripped and cleaned my EVO2 gearbox in a day and his price was reasonable too.

He knows his stuff when it comes to most things EVO.
