simple question , im still get a lot of heat from my 6boost steampipe manifold and currently with alloy radiator and aftermarket fans the header is sitting abit to close to the shroud and im worried it might melt it or at worse cause the fan motor to fail. Im wondering is it even worth it or maybe get a custom heatshield madeup. Ill put up a pic of the gap im talking about in a sec

there is a few options, ceramic coat the manifold, heat wrap it or a good shield/duct.

do you have a vented bonnet? if so make a duct that sends all the heat out of the vents like a chimney,

no room between radiator and condenser so that's a no. I have an evo bonnet which I just need a little panel beating and a paint which I can use just not yet lol

^^ good ceramic coating is the business clone. I didn't believe it held the heat in so well. Mate of mine had a really good ceramic coating applied to his manifold and you could touch it without burning yourself even after a good run!! Not cheap though. Wrapping good too but can cause rust if you drive in the rain as it can hold water. Chimneys look cool if they're done right too

Remove that fan and throw on front of the condensor. The fan on the drivers side is good enough

The evos only have 1 fan for radiator and 1 for condensor as it is

Or wrap it with heat wrap. Ive done it to my hot side cooler pipe and u can touch it after a few runs and its not hot

good thing is I live in Townsville so fuck all wet at all, but because I live in Townsville there is no company up here that does ceramic coating.... so id have to send it off to either rockhampton or brisvages

I've wrapped my dump pipe because my intercooler hot pipe runs down right beside it and I needed to keep temps down. It seems to have worked, even though people told me using the wrap will keep heat in and cause the dump pipe to break down due to the heat not escaping.
I'm removing it tomorrow so I'll let you know if it affected the dump after 7 years of being wrapped.

cheers mate

lol I cant even put it infront of the condenser cause the FMIC is there lol
Yeah you can. I've even got a big fan in the front of the condenser (behind the intercooler).
You can fit a fan in between them no worries :) (see my old pic lol)

yeah everyone keeps telling me to put it on the condenser but im running an evo 6 fmic which is jammed in there since I still have the gsr front bar on, I have an evo 1 bar awaiting to be painted and obviously when that goes on I can put on a evo 123 FMIC since I have the piping. Now all I need is the FMIC lol

Or you could bring the Evo 6 intercooler forward slightly. 5mm may be all you need. Just put washers or something on the back of the bushings where it mounts up and put new silicone joiners on the intake and outlet if you need to. Just an idea to save you buying another cooler
