i've been told by ATP to assume that it's the thrust bearing, due to the amount of play in the shaft.

compressor blades seem to be fine, haven't taken the dump off to check the turbine blades, but would you assume they were fine if the compressor ones were ok?

I was starting to get sick of my car plus I had to start a home savings account, so I sold it. I kind of miss it, but I don't miss the headaches. I was lucky because I nearly broke even selling the car and all the parts. Haven't really had to suffer yet because I've been out at work since I've sold it... not looking forward to getting around on a pushie while I finish the nsr rebuild.

Like alot of others i too am starting to get tired of my car.
Dont get me wrong i love the thing, best car i have ever had but its getting frustrating.

I have spend far to much money on it to sell it, and there are a few small things limiting it from making big power. At the moment i think there is some sort of cam issue. Its fun at 186.9kw at all four but should be making ~250kw.

I have a family now and we are looking to buy a house.
But i cant justify selling it, and at the same time i cant justify spending the money on it to get it right.

What am i to do?

I am getting sick of mine... And I haven't even driven it ... I think I have only sat in it like twice, and there is still soo much to do to it...

This thing has cost me that much cash, and has totally blown the budget that I was looking at spending... Sometimes I just think I should have left everything in th Sonata...

yer its an interesting thought, i do gert sick of it sometimes i have been without a car for 6 months now only left with a pushbike. it just gets really hard as like ya cant bear the sight of it, yet cant sell it cause its in peices and unpainted. im only really about to rip into the power sort of mods now and yer by alot of the responces it doesnt seem an easy and straightforward road that it first seemed.

anyways the car was desitined for the track when i bought it and yer the aim is to get it out there at least once this yeah

I'm lucky mine is going at the right time and for the right price. I can't justify spending the dosh on it when i could be using that for a deposit on a house. Plus i hope that a work car is on the way, so the extra dosh from the sale of the car will help towards the house.

My VR4 has been dead since mid December. It's killing me not having a car. Have to travel atleast 80k's a day. Always borrowing cars, having to wait around for cars to be available.

All because REVOLUTION MOTORSPORT has taken since Dec 23rd to send my F*CKING parts. I have literally been waiting this whole time. Excuse after excuse. Fuck up after fuck up. He swears they are on their way and will be here Friday.
He has good prices but if you dont mind waiting 3 months for your parts use him.....Stupid thing is I literally can;t do anything till they get here, as I ordered EVERYTHING through him :shock:
I miss my car, I have plans for it. I just hope once its back I love it as much as I did.
