Is "CE" wagon basically a CC... just newer ?

Hey Guys,

Since doing my full climate controll conversion, my AC cabin core and heater core have both let go.

I have seen few of those CE wagons which look externally and internaly iike a typical CC. Was thinking of pulling both cores out of one of those.
Are they the same or have Mitsu changed few things around as these "CE" wagons were made up until 99 or so ?

Would those changes be applied to heater and AC cores you'd say ?

Does anyone know if a CC lancer/GSR AC core will fit the Evo3 ac piping and will it work in general ?
Evo 3 AC core is bit larger than GSR but question is will it still work ?

im fairly sure we used a ce lancer core on my mates wagon. fit perfectly
