I found the reason I'm blowing manifold to turbo gaskets all the time.

So far that is every surface from head to turbo that has been warped. Bitch must be getting really hot.

No! I used a die grinder... :)

Seriously, it was my ultra flat SAI approved bench belt grinder. Only the best free options for KWRACING !

Got a tuning day in on Friday. I haven't logged anything since the new 20g went on, so was a good time to see what has been going on.

Things look not too bad. Nice to see the injector duty cycle is getting up to the 70's with the 1000cc injectors. With 22psi and 98 pump, AFR in the low 11's, it must be making half decent power.

I have snuffed the boost spike by setting the wastegate to pop at 45% instead of the 57% as seen in the log. (works backwards for some reason, 45% means watsegate is 55% open)

Engine temps appear to be under control now. They rise to 100 as the intake temps come up, but never logged above 100c on any run. Intake temps are down about 17-20c compared to the 16g big. Still seem to be chopping air above 6K rpm but much improved over the old 16g compressor. Slower to spool under 4k but with the gearing it's not an issue that often.

Amateur tune, done on the fly with 0 skills..........getting there, slowly.

Boost spike was snuffed as explained, it was a known issue but I fucked it up when adjusting by going the wrong way. Spike is about 23 now and regulates at 21.5 as per the programmed map. PID tuning can smooth it more but not a concern atm.

Detcans give zero audible knock at present, but not willing to screw more timing in until on a dyno and can actually concentrate on listening for it, rather than steering and tuning the wireless.

That pod filter is worth at least another kW, must be touching 66 now, this thing a fuck'n weapon!!!

Picked it up today for $400 it's going to be our kanacross shitbox. Need to source a dohc head and some headers. I've got a rack of mikuni carbs to go on it. Anyone know if jumbuck front suspension will fit up to these?

Hmmm 4-6 CE stuff. Might go to $50 pick a part and see what I can find. Cheers for that.
