Looking for a 4G63 to rebuild.

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

hey mate....I have access to lots of hydraulic fittings and plugs.

on another note, have you seen this on the rallysprint website?
" And this year a number of changes have been introduced to the series. The most significant a new rolling-start system, with the timing beam located 10m past the start line, designed to reduce the strain on gearboxes and differentials."

I think that should read...the 2wd boys have slipped a few bucks to someone to even the score

here is a test for you

Only girls drive an evo ten.

Well it's better than what I expected from you Brian! I was sure that was going to have something to do with my wife.....

Yeah to 2wd guys are rooting the right people thats for sure. My requests to have the sprinklers turned on every event have gone unanswered. Will, Mark and Jamie will be better off too with the new rules, now you can win money off entry for outright places....... Yeah, I race a 2586kW Evo 7 and beat everyone by 3 days so now I'm going to get $25 of my entry to the next round, so I can pull everybodies pants down at that event too.

I'm not bitter...... I'm not....... I know I cant drive, build cars, go round coners fast, set up suspension................ -.-. ..- -. - ... !

rs rear will transform it george
Yup, whole different beast now George. Goes more like the escort!

Good night at the Rallysprint last night, nice bit of rain half way through to help move us up the ladder a bit. Car ran really well, and the steering wheel nut is starting to get a better handle on things. The lack of assistance from the car was noticable, very loose rear end but 'feels' a bit more normal to me, albeit probably slower.

After two runs in the dry we were round about 18th overall, but after the rain we got into the top ten and ended with 9th overall and 6th in class (77 runners). Watching back the video we have plently of time to gain, coasting into some of the tricker turns just being a big pussy and not wanting to collect the concrete. Should improve if I get more confident with the car.

So you're converting your X in to the old gsr... nice!

Lashed!

AYC is getting preserved for the showroom events. Pretty fragile and not worth blowing the clutch packs at rallysprints. I have two AYC that will get freshened up for targa, the RS diff should last for years with effectively a stock engine.

Dangerous game thou, cars is heavier and less powerful, don't want to take too many of the magic bits out........ The only reason I wasn't beat by a Suzuki swift last event was that it rained. :-/

Got smashed at the last round. 24th outright. About 5secs slower per run than Liddle in his Targa high country showroom category winning X. Will never beat him but need to at least halve that gap. I think the cars going OK, still playing around with some suspension setting. Driver still needs some work, confidence issues.

Slow time of year track wise, so I'm bored and taking my frustration out on the poor unsuspecting Pajero. It needed some valve stem seals, so I figured fuck it, engine swap time. Got a good 6G75 out of a low KM 380 wreak (20k) and went to town. Only the block and heads are needed (fit) from the 3.8, the rest just gets swapped over from the 3.5, obviously as many performance orientated things will get done, well.......as much as the poultry $1500 budget will allow.

The 20k 380 motor as bought

Stripped back to the only bits I need

All the bits I don't need

Biggest problem is making sure I can get the best out of the newer engine with some tuning, Trying to find a definition file for ECU .bin is proving difficult. Many thanks to Miodrag (VR401) for his ongoing assistance with that little problem.

The 6G74 that came out won't be going to waste either, she will get a freshen up, de comp and become the test mule for the Elec-charger.
