mine has a japanese sticker over it, i have no idea what it says, do you know anyone who can read it?(i'll post it next post). And i had my car jacked up on one side, i tried to rotate my front drivers side tire, it would only move like a 1/20 of a turn, and i tried really hard to turn it. i will go try to jack up just the front end tomorrow and try. I haven't changed any of the diffs or tranny fluids yet, just the engine, got amsoil 5w-30. And does this spinning technique work for both front and rear?

You have to get BOTH off the ground and try and sping them in the forwards direction and yes, both front and rear.

so if they are lsd, replace rear diff with what? and front with what?

If the front and rear is a mechanical LSD, replace it with LSD oil

If the front and rear are viscous, then replace it with your normal fluids.

all i know is the top characters in the middle says "slip"

it is, i translated the middle line, it says The Cusco Type MZ. Cusco recommend 75w 85 for the front, 80w 90 for the rear. So i can assume if,
1) it has Cusco front and rear strut tower bars
2) A cusco Front sway bar? it's under the engine belly (check pic)
3) Cusco Pro Comp 2 full customizable suspension
4) a Cusco rear LSD
That is would have a Cusco front LSD as well, with this i'm going to get gear oil in these wieghts and change it out. So 1 more thing, how much oil do i need for the front?

ide use the lsd oil in the front and prolly the same for the back. i use castrol i think its called LX 90 it will say for lsd's on the front anyway, i only use this LSD oil as its all i could find to put in it. with that cusco MZ lsd im sure its the plate lsd which is very harsh from what i remember i had 2 choices when i got my cusco lsd i think there was a RZ which was sprung and the MZ which used plates i got the RZ cos i thought it wouldnt b so harsh but it is and its definatly better than the plate one cos the plate one will alot more harsher then the sprung one. ide be curious on what LSD's they are as to wot way's they are e.g 1-way,1.5-way and 2-way cos if they are 2-way they will be very harsh but by the way you have explained it before as it doesnt clunk and carry on so much when u back off ide be inclined to think it is either a 1-way or 1.5-way cos if they are both 2-way LSD's it would clunk n carry on all the time as 2-way LSD's are pretty much locked all the time hence 2-way LSD.

Castrol LSX 90 is what you want, for both the gearbox and rear differential.
Fill them each until the fluid starts coming out of the filler hole - sorted.

btw I broke my rear diff today up at slipway (local drift venue), converted it from rwd to fwd at the side of the road in the middle of town, in the dark, and drove it home

Just note when filling up the transfer case there is two chambers.
So fill it up till it over flows, let it sit for 10-15mins come back and fill it up again & doesn't hurt to leave it again and come back before topping it up and capping it off. it does take quite a while for the oil to get to the front filling chamber to the rear ;)

The link dont work man.

It works now- must of needed time to get online.

your clutch pack sounds like it could be fucked. My old VR4 had a mechanical LSD, and when going around in circles full lock it'd make the rear wheel hop. That just sounds like its doing nothing except being broken.

anyone else got an opinion?

It doesnt sound that good maybe it may be broken like wot dre said but im not to sure. my lsd clunks hard like its locking up not like that. if i had a cam ill vid my car going round in circles but i dont have a video cam to film it. :(

also did you say you think u had a LSD in the front too cos it didnt look like you did cos mine doesnt go round in circles that easy like yours and you would hear it clunking hard but then again my car is only FWD.
