nah they dont soo i cant tell, i'm now set to 15deg advance soo should be all good now runs alot better and harder, if you could bring the datta logger tomoro for the KK run and try it out... might work...

just lookd at the old HG and its completely fudged, almost every cyl would have been sharing the same compression....... i'll take a pik soon...
 
just took the car for a drive all good untill........ you hear it

it literaly sounds like a HONDA!!! but now my actuall compression is up, it is now shiting my ECU and at 6k rpm i'm hitting fuel cut...... i'm thinking the resonance in the intake is shitting the MAF considering its using ultra sonic sound waves to measure air flow......

i think i might have to invest in a standalone ECU.....

heheh yerp i just have find the guide lines for engine swaps for engineering cert for the car....

also found the stupid problem, its the Jspec ECU, cant handle the comp and is shitting it self at 6krpm, the stock dual board works perfect just sluggish cause it cant compinsate far enough...

i'l update if anything else happens..
 
The supercharger would still be different, cheaper and honestly it would be pretty hard to get it rego'd with a six... but then again if you're up for the challenge.. v6 powered galant would be mighty interesting :D

Oh.. additionally, it sounds NICE..... is it better than your alfa as far as response?

atm runs like a POS, and it literaly sounds like i have a trumpet in my engine bay when i plant it...... both ecu's i believe cant handle the major change in comp and i run out of puff at around 5k ...... kina sucks cause it sounds awsome after that.....

stand alone ECU might be the go with an Eaton M45 lol.....
 
What about a vr4 eco with knock sensing capability, with a custom chip using the std na chip as a base? Do the NA galants use the same afm as the vr4's? If so, I doubt you would be maxing it out in NA form.

hurm interesting theroy, only diff between the N/A maf and VR4 is 2 wires..... there seams to be 2 positives goin to the maf ranther then 1, the other i have no idea... i was thinking of chipping my ecu and running a 7MGTE MAF as it uses the same style Karmen Vortex design, but if i can pick up a stand alone for cheap enough might go that route..... or if supercharged, just use a Aspec Turbo ECU etc...

still lookin for parts atm.. its a good idea though..
 
lets say....... i have this face every time the gas pedal hits the floor and the rpm goes wild :D
 
just took a ride in it last nite.
powerband feels linear, like smooth through the rev range is how i would describe it. easily free revving.. with lumpy idle at bout 1.5k
we then took my bro's dc2 integra type r out, which is also very smooth but has the more aggressive mid to top end when the vtec pops.
jays car has changed so bloody much that it's different everytime i'm in it.. lol..
