Help Support 4GTuner:

i'm here tim...only just got net access back, i will come lend a hand as long as all my issues are sorted out by then, drag day is just round the corner like you said.

Edgar at extreem motorsport is doing the shocks, he is about the only guy i found that actually specilizes in Ohlins. Re the gearbox. I'm modifing the input shaft so it will take a spigot bearing. I need to remove the main input shaft and remove the gears then machine the main spline to take an extention, that then is machined to fit into a bearing that I will fit into the flywheel. Sounds simple hey!

End result will be a gearbox that will change with out any problems at 9000 plus rpm (not that i will rev that high) Less wear on the gears and syncros and a clutch that will last a lot longer than normal.

In the olden days all cars had spigot bearings, All the real race cars have spigots too. There must be something in that hey!!

Anyway I checked out the manual for the gearbox and it looks fairly simple.

Hmm i thought of one issue that might stuff me up for the "MEETING" I wanted to make a new intake manifold. :D

Maybe I'll run it in on the old mani and build the new one between tunes!

hmmm.. everything looks nice and simple in those damn manuals, but when it comes to me doing it, it ain't that easy and simple lol.

stripping the box on monday.

hopefully machining on tuesday and rebuild on thursday!

just waiting for tha suspension to be finished.

1st gear is part of the shaft, you can't strip that one. Good luck with it, I think it's alot of pain for nothing though.
And just how high are you going to be revving your stroker?

it's not just fixing the high revving, there is a lot of other issues it helps with,.... aparently

all the same it really can't hurt! I mean I could just say F%$K it and fit the clutch as is. But I have spent the best part of 10K so far why stop now!

O yes i know 1st is part of the input shaft :D Yes but I bet I could strip it!!

Ok guys, as it is about a month to go we should know about meet points etc.
I would say a good spot would be the KFC at Redbank Plains shopping centre.
Easy to get to and easy to find!
Say meet there between 3:00 - 3:30pm on the 12th.
There will be a couple of the Evo-oz guys are keen to meet us there and head up.
Apparently a couple of the Ozvr4 guys are heading up too, should make for a fun time :)

why not meet round the back of the shops, up in the top carpark so we can get some good photos of all the cars first?

Yeah right up the top back corner carpark should be better. Hopefully i konw what i'm doing with my camera by then and might be able to take some decent photo's of the cars :D

Ok, I was thinking of where the X is in this shot as that was where we met for the last cruise. Seemed to be plenty of space and a good high vantage point for our resident paparazzo Jason :)

Hmm 4 weeks? I'd better get my finger out!
This project of mine is getting bigger and bigger. I just can't stop adding things!

^^I know what you're saying hey.
Hey does anyone know where I can get my intake pipes flanged with a ridge, so that silicon joiners don't pop off so easily?
Can any normal exhaust shop do it? I didn't think so?
I tried doing a few spot welds yesty, but that didn't work very well because I was using a gaslees mig, which are useless. All they're good for is making bird crap.
Looking forward to this meet! Even if my car ain't running I'll rock up in the Falcon! :p
