mine are hot bits mate.
my car sits around 90mm from the ground, still with plenty of play in them. I know thats the look you want too ;)

Awesome, if you dont mind, at some point are you able to measure the distance from the centre of the rim to the guard, and let me know what it is?

And at that height, how much thread is left, or is it all the way down? and lastly, how do they hot bits go? as in performance, ive been keepn my eye on them as an option now, not sure if they do them for an E3 tho...

Jamie, you bloody ricer. You finally buy a performance car and you don't care how it handles .

+1 for Hotbits (Race spec with external cannisters). I have flogged mine for 4 years now without any dramas.

Save up your coin and go get Proflex :D.

For the record, all coilovers on Evo 1-3 and GSR's are interchangeable, so yes they do make them. :)
I'll get those measurements for you shortly. ;)

Shocks are exactly what you pay for comparing different coil overs is like comparing different brands and viscosity of oil, they will all do the job some (opinions better than others) and all with varying price tags and features to go with it.

That aint entirely true, i do care how it handles..im not racing it though...

Yet you want to lower it down into bump steer territory .

If you are concerned with handling, DON'T get G4's, I believe their valving and spring rates are all wrong for anything but drifting.

I've got hotbits,
They are pricey compared to D2 / G4 's but guys in the states use them to rally with success..

They have been dyno tested (shock dyno).
AXT Turbo in Aus sells them here in VICTORIA. They are manufactured in
MALAYSIA I think...

If that occurs, Il lift it, i wont live with bump steer, i hate it

I wont buy G4/D2's now that i realise their potential....

Its true, the look of this car would likely over rule its handling abilitys, im not tracking it, or even really taking it to its limit...so for the most part, its gonna be a show pony....

i wont dump it to the point where it causes compromise and problems though, i dont want reverse enginered lever points and fukd up geometry beyond fixing...adjustable lower lower arms/tension rods would be nice though..dont know if they make em though

On the other hand, ill be using my GSR galant wheels (now black) at a reasonable height if im gonna go hook it...

I'm sure you already know this but you do realize that every time you change your ride height, you have to go and get another wheel alignment as it throws the tow way out.

Haha, yeah mate, thanks for pointing it out though...

Ill settle on 1 ride height.

At the moment, racing logics are the best "local" and "cheaper" coilovers i can see to use

How much are the hotbits ones new? anyone

BTW Rob, i took it through a roundabout last night (dry) and gave the wheel a good run, too see how good it would handle..and it effin sticks like i never thought it would

The stock gear is pretty damn good, i was sweetly suprised..

mitsi's don't have "tension rods" (or castor rods as they are also known).

to increase the castor you need to get offset bushes for the rear mount of the lower arms - or move the top of the strut backwards.

and imo teins are better anyway.

i have fitted and driven on jics (in a honda mind you) and they were just ok. the quality is nothing on tein imo
