Replacement carpet for CC GSR

Help Support 4GTuner:

i replaced my carpet a while back. Fits okay but still had slight sags/creases so i grabbed the missus's hair dryer and heated up the plastic carpet backing whilst the carpet was in and pushed/stretched the carpet the way it should be. Came out really well. Btw i got knox carpet as well. went for charcoal with plush finish for approx $180.

Yep, Knox auto carpets, front section only, $100, sooo much better, I give it 9/10 as was a bit of a struggle to fit in some spots and as ULS33 said, a few areas where fit was not perfect. I didn't worry about fixing it though as its only a $4k daily driver (sigh, thats all an average GSR is worth).

Highly recommend it, really cost effective upgrade

I just replaced my carpet form Knox carpets, the end result was great, looks really good, but a prick of a job. The carpet itself is wider than stock and as it's two piece so using your old carpet as a template gives you an idea, but in no way can you use it to cut holes. I must have taken it in and out of the car 10 times. I also put down much more underlay that what was there factory, hopefully it makes it a little quieter.

Well worth it though, now I need to find decent matts!

Yep, looks like mine, I only did the front, but effect was brilliant; yours looks even better than mine, very tight fit in that front wheel well (or maybe its just newer so looks better!).

BTW, are they EVO4 seats ? Regardless, how do they hold you in in the twisty bits ? I ask as I have EVO1 seats which fit my theme (low key and under the radar) and are a massive improvement over stock, but I still have to hold on a bit in the corners, so interested in how other seats perform.

I got mine done as a custom job .. So is suede .. I wanted it all in one piece.. Was never a fan of those overlapping 2 piece moulded carpets..
