summernats - accom recommendation

hey guys,

a group of my mates are heading up to canberra for summernats, i've been the last few years, and its always been pretty good..

one thing we have noticed is the amount of money they charge for accom..

does anyone live close to the site, and have enough space to put up 4 guys? happy to pay for the privilledge, rather put the money in to forums members pockets, then the caravan parks and hotels.

anyway, looking for accom, and possibly to meet up with anyone going, i met turbulent up there last year, the GSR looked awesome amongst all the commodores.

Hire or borrow a van or minivan and sleep in it. Will be cheaper than accomm and you can park anywhere you want. For a shower go to the local swimming pool for a swim in the morning and a shower for cheap
My Nimbus rear seats fold down into a bed and something similar would be good for things like that

lol, FARK if you asking about accomodation now, you are farked!! Try and get into the backpackers. its mad, resonably clean, close to the pubs and has a pool down stairs. Good luck tho.

yeah... late ask... i managed to get an apartment for 4 of us for $300 for 3 days,

pretty good really.

camping there is pretty cheap ? they have showers there too up near the scruiteneering bays

sorry had i seen this earlier i might have been able to source something.. but 1am sunday morning is useless to you lol

you didnt by chance get a video of me in any of the driving events did you ? kid dropped my camera during the slalom and it hasnt turned back on

yea it was pretty poorly organised this year too, events on my schedule were not daylight savings adjusted i think ?
entrant guide said fireworks at 730pm....
