Hey my cars just come off the road for couple months. Took most of everything off engine and the engine will b e comin out tomorrow for cleanup and bein stripped. I looked at the turbo ( td04 ) 2 fins have small chip in them and 1 fin has a slight bend, so am going to buy a td05. Will the td04 come straight off the 4g63 and a td05 bolt straight on. Will i need an extra's changed? Thanks heaps

are you saying you have a TD04 on a 4G63?? might want to check this pal, kind of important... that's like going 1 step forward then 2 steps backward

either way it will bolt up but you'll need to modify water, oil lines, port exh manifold and do dump pipe mods to suit.

Yea the turbo i have is td04 and im now gettin a td05 just askin bout extras to be change for this to happen. thanks pal

waht lozza was tryin to say is why was the TD04 on the 4G63? 4G63 turbo motors run TD05 standard

Anyway, to answer the question, yeah it will bolt straight in, however the size of the inlet and outlet on the td05's is larger, and to do it properly you should get an appropriate exhaust manifold and dump pipe.

Correct and don't forget the gaskets to suite.

You'll also need the TD05's oil line and water line.

or you can drill out your water lines to suit... but you will need the td-05 water bolts...

My Vr4 4G63T came with a TD04 and 450cc injectors, it was from a auto jSPEC VR4.

As for oil and water lines, just get some custom ones made up at Pirtek or Enzed ....

if its the knock offs from china you're talking about they might last or might not. they are not made to the same standard and materials as the genuine. some have been lucky. personally i wouldn't bother, i hate all that cheap knock off shit like BOV's, WG's, manifolds etc but that's me.

extremepsi have big16G's for US$549. landed will make it say AUS$800 all up. will take 5 days tops. now that's cheap and you get the real thing without the uncertainty. do it once and do it right!!

if you're really strapped wait till a real 2nd hand one comes up on a forum from someone familiar. you need to be able to check for shaftplay etc. so inspect it first.

cheers
