Timing Belt Marks

Nother question Rob..the tutorial isnt over......

When i tighten the centre bolt on the eccentric cam pulley it wants to put the cam on hard,further than where i positioned it by pushing up with the drill bit in the little hole...

Will this work put as being bad? the belt seems really tight

the holes are around the top now with the most forward hole being at around 1 oclock..

leave it you reckon?

A bit of grease or a spray of CRC under the bolt head can help prevent it from over tightening the bearing. If the right hand hole is only at the 1 o'clock position, it should be ok. I think ideally, it is supposed to be at 12 o'clock, but that is with a new belt.

What is the gap for the hydraulic tensioner now, still around 3.5 to 4 mm?
