Turbo Noise!

Last couple of days I thought i could hear a slight noise 4K+.

After last night its a lot more then a slight noise...If the compressor wheel had slack would it scrape and make horrible noises?

Is this likely with a rebuilt 14b that has only done 14K Kms??

It had a 3month warranty I wont be too happy if it has only lasted 6.

it is more then possile, my big 16g was 5 months old les then 10k and it made the same noise your describing. when it was taken out it had a bit of play in the shaft.

just retighten your exhaust manifold to the turbo and see if the noise has gone

I just had this problem on a new 16G and, I did the retighted and it was all good

Boost leaks make that high pitched whine

I had it

Was the blow off valve Gasket.

hahaha u wanna know what a 14b turbo sounds like at 28PSI!!! lol sounds it sounds like its about to fall off the engine lol hey jamie

hmm, i think its just the BOV leaking
