Help Support 4GTuner:

yeh, a 2-2.5mm washer, but does it vary between cars much? eg, if I put a 2.5mm washer in there but it only needs a 1mm one, would that fck the assembly by moving the fingers too far?
Going to stick a washer in there, mount it back up and see if we can test it without reassembling everything :)

I just put a standard washer in there, you can always adjust the pedal if there is too much push. Within reason obviously. Hell I've seen on galantvr4, someone made a crazy spanner and put a slotted washer in with the box in the car.

Jamo we could get drunk and my posts would probably make more sense.

So... Um
Removed the front right suspension assembly, removed the caliper etc
Rebuilt it. And now when you tighten the two caliper bolts (G and L) it clamps the caliper and prevents the disc from moving.
Fix one thing & create another problem

Anymore progress? When you rebuilt the calipers, are the seals directional? Also did u lubricate everything as you went?

Pulled the calipers apart & rebuilt them (yes used caliper grease), worked fine, not sure what the issue was, maybe one of the pads wasn't sitting correctly. Went with a 2.10mm spacer, which made the pressure plate fingers contact the clutch plate when the pedal was fully depressed so I adjusted the shaft on the pedal, which fixed that problem. Even thought its a 'heavy duty' pressure plate it feels easier to manipulate and shift with  Maybe the old one was more difficult because it was stuffed :D
