OK. After getting my fuel pump cradle pipes fixed on top(i still want another one) I have installed the pump into the cradle and it fouls on the bottom of the tank before I can screw it down :(

The model number is Gss342 3() 306-3 Thats written on the pump.

I got it off that ebay member UDOGG06 and is not a fake.

What do you guys reckon I could do to fix it? :)

Ah, shame my car isnt here, I could take pics.

Basically my setup has a (slightly) longer bolt than stock, an extra hole drilled in the bottom plate (the part that the rubber sits in, due to the wiring/pump outlet being backwards to the stock pump) and about a 9mm high nut as a spacer, between the bottom plate and the bottom of the pump. If you cant sort it out, when I get the car back monday I will pull the fuel pump and show you what I mean.

Edit: I just realised this is the evo 1-3 section.. no wonder your wiring looks funny hehe. Should be similar though.

thanks guys but Jarred had sorted me out with the exact same thing.

Ive taken pics so ill write up a guide how to on installing walbros

looks normal to me!

u sure its fouling?
sometimes if you dont get the pins into the top of the cover properley, if feels like its touching the base...

hmmm.

It still is bottoming out after the modification I did, but just on one side.
Im gunna try to bolt it down and see how I go.

 Its pissing down outside

The cradle doesnt change size so what you take out should fit back in no problems. You sure its nothing catching on its way in while you are lowering it in? Also, do you have any dents in the bottom of your fuel tank? :)

what he said.. and it'd be a good idea to clamp the hose on first time around to save you from having to pull it apart again when the line loses pressure and the engine doesn't start.

Got it in ok after the 2nd cut of the hose above the pump.

37mm long is the final length of the fuel hose required plus the "L" bracket needs another hole drilled 5mm further up to bolt on properly.

New problem. Its stuttering/fuel cut on full boost or something?? :?

Is it TOO much fuel? What about my (fixed) new fuel pipe? Its now a 1/4 inch instead of 5/16 inch pipe? Will Too little fuel flow through, or is the new 255L pump flowing more through it than the old GSR 80L?
I think its still pumping more through the smaller pipe than it used to though.

Do I need a 1:1 fuel reg now?

Thanks guys
