Thanks Joe, I'll keep that in mind for the future.

Jarred is on the case and if he cant get one too me, i'll grab yours.
So first dibs on it IF I dont get one

IF I cant get yours, Liberoz has one too. :)

UPDATE!

New cradle is in with the walbro fitting right in with only one mod needed
to make it fit(drill another hole in the bottom bracket to hold the pump in tighter)

STILL feels like its leaning out or making a popping sound( :? ) under WOT and at 15psi. Had to pull back the foot so I didnt cause damage :(

Have to put the wideband on tomorrow and check AFR's

Got a fuel reg coming from veefour shortly when he advises me of payment received  Its a sard.

New ECU should be sorted in a few weeks hopefully  :D

Any more ideas?

Thanks

Might pay to check your leads, plugs, coils. sounds like your loosing spark. If you have the new fuel pump in then it wont be leaning out (Unless you have a problem)

Changed plugs to rule out them.

Leads are fine.

Ryan came for a drive with me after and we think its leaning out.

The old plugs show classic signs of leaning out WTF :(

Idle is GAY also

Boost leak?

240KM from a tank :?

The problems only started since the pump change and we stuffed the cradle. It was fine before then and going great guns(running 12.5's for fark sake  )

New cradle in> same problem so its not that.
New plugs> same problem

What about O2 sensor? :? Buggered?

Need to put the tail sniffer on. AF/R's But Jasons away

Keep chucking me ideas.....

A stuffed 02 wont make it lean out, it ONLY come into affect as a "Trimming" tool/sensor when your at idle and Cruise to give you good ecconomy (Closed loop) When you are on full power WOT the ECU cut the 02 input.
If the idle if "Gay" then you might have a boost/vac leak, might have knocked something when you was doing the fuel pump? (Or other things?)

My next thing I would check is the compression of the engine just for peice of mind, Just came across my mind cause of you said it was leaning out & with the bad idle, MIGHT have done engine damage.

QUOTE "Ryan came for a drive with me after and we think its leaning out."

How did you know it was leaning out just from driving it? Was it pinging?
How do you know your leads are fine? Best way is to use a multi-meter. My leads "Seemed" fine as well, till I got a new set and the problem went away.
With out looking at it maybe you done some damage to the cradle putting it in? even a small kink in the metal lines will cause a restriction in fuel flow.
But I'd be doing a compression test 1st, to make sure that you have a good base to work with. I have a tester if you need one. :)
Good luck with it all.

this might be a long shot but....

check the fuel lines of when u were changing over the pump... the lines that u screw back onto the cradle/bracket...

(ive circled it in the picture).. check that whole line or the other end of it... it may be kinked/have a knot in it

hope this helps!

What I was really was after was people to think "outside" of the normal scope instead of the normal "Check this check that simple stuff". We have done all the checks [except the AFR's as we didnt have the equipment at the time] (plugs/leads [we have a multimeter] I was VERY careful with the cradle as Somebody hurt it last time,Compression tests have been great for over a year [Cylinders 1-4] [160-155-155-150 less than 10% everytime I check it] Thanks for the Offer Lee but we have a comp tester here :)

What we felt while driving it seemed like Leaning out at the time and I had to back off straight away for fears of wrecking the engine.

The plugs were white which on the plug reader is lean.

Now here is the interesting part.

We finally got the Tail-sniffer last night and checked the AF/R's and what we discovered was the compleate opposite of what we thought (leaning out)

The Air Fuel ratio was off the charts at < 9.6:1 and we suspect lower

Now heres the Educated theory:

Before with the stock 80LPH fuel pump @ 15psi of boost up higher in the rev range, we were getting 12:1

In the lead up to that AF/R we were getting about between 10:1 and 11:1 and rising.

MY Theory is that the fuel pump was running out of fuel for the engine and starting to lean out to the 12:1 AF/R untill redline and caused the car to fly  until I changed gears again.

NOW I have changed the fuel pump to a better flowing one(Walbro 255LPH) and I have Bulk fuel flow

So at 15psi now i have a very PHAT fuel supply. Read: TOO much fuel at less than 9:1AF/R and the engine is just being flooded with fuel hence the spluttering and cutting out

We can tune around that problem when the new ecu is finally installed :p

Hopefully then I can have great fuel economy and a nice Phat power curve too

Thanks guys for reading this long ass post and helping me.

Also sorry for being a bit of an ass and being short with some of my responses.

But I have never heard of a car running like crap cause they up-graded the fuel pump (Getting too much fuel) cause you have a return rail, all most like your return fuel rail has been blocked off and ALL the fuel is getting into the engine causing it to run like shit.
My bet is the Fuel Pressure Reg needs to be looked at. (Wern't you getting a new sard?)
Thats about all I can come up with at this time..... :)

I GOT IT!!!!!!
Maybe you have 1 tyre that has Nitrogen and the other 3 have servo air?
Thats gotta be it!!!

PS:(Lets not rule out your spare tyre here just to be safe)

  Thanks for the wake up sarcasm :p

I needed a laugh :D

Nah thanks for your help though seriously Lee.

I do appreciate everybodys help.

New ECU will be in soon and the Sard is on its way.
