Almost every jdm and nzdm galant except the very lowest spec, vr4's and GTi16's had chrome door handles. Got a set for one of my vr4's, look heaps better than faded grey ones (also better if you want to paint them, cos they are nice n smooth once you rub the chrome off).

What makes you think it's the clutch? does it slip at all, trouble engaging it? Sounds more like it's a missfire, pull the plugs out and have a look at them, check the gaps etc.

I do, but I've used evo2 suspension in it, and I know several people who've fitted evo5 hubs to their early evo's (using the same suspension they had beforehand) and I don't recall any mount width issues....

The yanks reckon the watercooled oil filter housings are quite easily damaged by screwing the filter on too tight and crushing them, which causes oil in the water, so it's probably a good idea to swap to an air/oil cooler while the cars in bits.

With height adjustable coilovers you can remove the lower mount from the shock when you weld it. Decent quality ones (cusco, tein, etc) have steel mounts which makes life easier.
