Hey
Just wondering if anyone has dealt with any 4wd dynos on the GC? Mine should be on the road this week i just done a 63 conversion amoungst other things an it runs on the gsr computer but its not super flash so thinking ill get the computer remapped to suit.
Thoughts ppls????????

Might be a bit hard finding someone to remap the stock computer.... These days its easier/more cost effective to get an aftermarket sort (piggyback, safc etc)

grab a meek chip- and a tv repair shop to socket your ECU :)
Can you give me some more details CLuTZ?
Is that get a tv repair store to put a socket in the ecu?
Cheers

hey dude I'm currently talking with the workshop i deal with about putting the socket into my ecu. They are based at Burleigh and they are constantly doing Niztune Flashed ECU's which is basically the same thing.

Call Keith @ K-Tune. They are fantastic.

Yeah Benny or Keith at K-Tune should be able to get something sorted..I live just around the corner from them, so if you eed any help feel free to ask, and if im around ill lend a hand your way

Jamie.

they have everything to do it. The Mitsubishi uses the same chipset as the Nistune and they do those all the time.

K-Tune will be doing my EVO once I get things sorted :D

I thought only Evo 7 onwards could be "flashed".

Do they have a chassis dyno? im assumimg so? Any idea of costs? Ive kinda shot myself in the foot at the mo cos i decided to quickly throw a cambelt on before i put the engine in the car QUICKLY is neva a GOOD IDEA!!! It wasnt tentioned quite right skipped a couple of teeth i havent opened it up yet but i think my pistons and valves may have violated each other, ill do a comp test tonight now i have it all timed correctly an see what the verdict is.
Ill probly be chasing a new head if anyone has one ill check the for sales now :)

Mine had skipped two teeth and I was driving with it and it is fine.

Whether it was just pure luck I don't know. I have done a compression test and mine is all good across the board.

You must be insanely lucky!!!!!!!
Mine skipped alot of teeth and i have 30psi comp on cylinder one an none on the rest ive got the head half way off ill finish it tomorrow, hopefully i have only bent valves and not broken pistons.

as far as the original question about the 4WD dyno... Matt Spry PITS @ Molindinar only one ever touched my car as far as dyno goes and put a 4WD dyno 2 years back...picked up business i'm sure

When my brother owned the car got the timing belt changed from some random place and had problems with vibrations turned out to be 6 teeth out on the crank and 4 on the balance shaft...thank god he took it to Mitsubishi to fix it could have been a new engine :(
