Every one talks about it but nobody will do anything lets pick a date.

then pick a place to meet and drive somewhere!

I have just got my car back from a long drawn out rebuild and want to trash the begezzes out of it (run it in)

But it is boring doing it alone!

So who wants to come!

An idea for a run (about 3 hrs)
nth side of brisbane up to Mt Nebo - Mt Glorious - over to the other side , turn around back up again and thur brisbane down to beenleigh out to Canungra either up to Beechmont or the goat track to tamborine( this has too many ppl on it so not the best route) down the south side of the mountain either thru advance town or Mt nathan (nathan is very fast if we get a clear run. average is about 140 - 160) stop at gold coast have a bit of a boast and laugh then we can all go home.

even if there is only 4 or 5 cars it will be fun

naturally it would be all done at the nominated speed limit for that piece of road. :wink:

MEET

My preference - Sunday April 9th.
Route: up over Mt Glorious/ Mt Nebo, down the Brisbane Valley highway, out to Clifton (via some great roads on the way), watch the rally sprints for a bit and have a bite to eat (there is catering out there), from Clifton, we can either come back the same way or head south east through jimboomba or somewhere like that.

you can never scare the wildlife too much. Lets them know they are alive.

(animals have no conserquence of life, they just are!) (thats the difference between them and us also the reason we don't eat poor defenceless grasshoppers)

How far is clifton from bottom of glorious(summerset side)

O and Rob the car is going great ! HOLY SHIT it is fast!

Still not sure re: boost actuator yours seems to be working but it still creeps a little on the hi side?

but it is only running 15psi at the moment.

Jetgsr, good to hear things are going great (so far).

Swap your old actuator back on, see it it makes any difference. At least you will then know whether its actuator related or not.

I will find out more on distances tonight but it looks like roughly 200 km which is going to be close to a full tank of fuel for some.

Yeah i'd be up for this, just need a date to work things out. (*note need to lower car asap for this, note* need $1000 for custom job to do so... doh!)

Even if its not done i'd love to come for the drive, but wont be tackleing the corners like you guys. RVR can have a little body roll from time to time.

Car is still going OK just completed 1st oil change 800kms bit late but its done.

Anybody want some 90/100 H4 globes? just changed mine to 100/130

with these bueties i can see thru walls and give skippy some serious sun burn.

OK when we going to meet? I'm in Beenleigh area.! Rob's north side what say we pick something in the middle..

I went looking for some maps of the Wivenhoe area (courtesy of the Queensland Challenge) that I have last night but they must still be packed away somewhere, will look again tonight. They should give me a better indication of distances and times.

I found the maps! But i will need to get some more tonight.

Do we want to go the the Clifton Sprints? (I do but thats only because I know a couple of guys competing out there) It is a fair way out but has some excellant roads on the way there.

Here are my suggestions at the moment, please feel free to let me know of any good roads that you know of that we should include.

Option 1. Targa 4G - Enduro version.

Meet at Redbank (with full petrol tanks), travel to Gatton, head southwest (through the good stuff) to Clifton, have lunch there, head back to Gatton (via the good roads again), fill up petrol tanks somewhere, head up towards Wivenhoe, go up the western side of Mt Glorious (more good stuff), then down into Samford for a drink and call it a day.


Option 2. Targa 4G - Sprint version.

Meet at Redbank (with full petrol tanks), head out through Ipswich, up towards Wivenhoe, go up the western side of Mt Glorious (more good stuff), Follow Mount Nebo Road back into The Gap, then back along Mailmans track, up over Clear Mountain, then into Samford for a drink.

The only problem I see is Mt Glorious + Sunday = motorbikes + cops.

mmm, thats true, i went on a cruise with sum mates on a wrx cruise 2 weeks ago around glorious and nebo and there we never saw any cops. i don't know if we were lucky or what, althought it was all before 1 pm.
