Hey people. My clutch isn't disengaging on my cb lancer. Na fwd box on a 2L.

Push the clutch pedal in and it's really stiff but still won't disengage clutch to shift. I don't seam to be loosing any fluid.

Any ideas. I'm fairly sure I know what the problem is but I'd like a few opinions :)
Thanks

Hmm. I replaced my slave with a spare and still got the same problem. Master is brand new.

I googled it and lots of people reckon clutch dropped a spring.
Any ways of telling without deposing the box

Similar thing happened to me a couple times, in my cases the spring was dislodged and pressing the clutch disc against the PP from the flywheel side.

Now I use a 6 puck solid centre disc and have no more dramas.

Ripped it apart today. Clutch had lost the spring as I had thought. **** you exedy!!!

Put new clutch in. Bled it. Feels like normal. Yet it's now not going on far enough to disengage the clutch....and I have the pedal fully adjusted out.

But if I push down really hard at the end, it moves just that little bit more and I can get it into gear. I'll try swapping my old slave cyl back in tomorrow night, it's the only part besides the clutch I have changed.

Any other opinions here?

Did you machine the flywheel?

Does the flywheel have a step? if yes, Is the step height within spec?

Did you play with the pivot ball to flywheel geometry?

Having the master fully adjusted out can cause other problems down the track. In most cases it blocks the return valve in the master which then effects the slave as it can no longer fully return. In this case, as the clutch wears (assuming there are no leaks) the fluid level cannot drop to compensate and therefore the system shows its symptoms at the pedal (it begins to feel soft/spongy). When this happens, bleeding the system will get you going again as the system will have an intake of fluid, however the bandaid fix will only last until the clutch wears and needs another bleed.

How would I change flywheel pivot ball geometry?

Flywheel was fine and had it machined only a year ago.

If I'm driving and keep foot on throttle and push clutch in it revs out then grips as I release clutch fine. It just isn't letting me shift gears. Which I think is very strange

[sub]It sounds to me like you need more throw, adding a shim to bring the pivot ball towards the PP can achieve this. [/sub]

[sub]Just be careful though, if you over shim the clutch fork can contact the PP. [/sub]
