A mate of mine had an ADL2 with the 50 I/O expander for sale about two weeks ago. He was after the $5500 mark for it, I can ask if he's still got it if you're interested.

Nah.... way to rich for me Steve, just need something around the 1000-1500 mark or else im going to slam in 2 autometer gauges .

I know the Motec sport Dash retails $2200 so yeah looking for a cheapy to wack in...

So expensive these bloody things, i saw a motec sport dash for sale a while back $1300 but it was gone in a matter of seconds lol

Yeah, the SDLs are totally different to the ADLs, still bloody good though.

AIM sell a version of the MXL (the Strada) in that price range, and it's a pretty good bit of kit. Haltech rebadge and sell them, so APC might be familiar with them (they're a haltech dealer aren't they?) .. they take a CAN input, so should work with your motec. The cheap version doesn't have logging though, so you have to go to the Pista version if you want that.

AIM also do the Mychron 3 which is cheaper again I think, but nowhere near as pretty haha.

The other one to look at is the Racepak IQ3. If you want logging, I'd go for this over the MXL Pista. Might be a little bit more than your budget at ~$1450 USD (I've not seen an AU price for them yet), but they've probably got more features than the Motec SDL. I'm probably going to end up with one of these in my car when Haltech release them here for the E8.

Race pak looks the shit

I might send them an email and see how much they are worth and if they are compatiable with motec comps.

If not im just gonna wack some autometer gauger one rpm and the other mph

Two types

SDL - Sport Dash Logger $2,300
ADL - Advanced Dash Logger $6,500

Fucking pricey, those were taken from Meridian Motorsport website :)

The software the motec dash comes with (even the SDL) for log analysis is absolutely awesome, better than anything I've seen elsewhere. I'd love to have $20k just to blow on motec hardware :D

edit: Racepak does do a cheaper version of the IQ3 for display - https://www.g35garage.com/ec/Product.aspx?ID=10514 .. no logging though. If you're only gonna be drag racing the car, and not logging inputs from a heap of sensors, maybe you could just use the internal ecu memory (I forget which one you have) for logging and get away with the cheaper dash?

Im not sure these are compatable with motec units, i think APC have questioned Haltech about these, might just run it past them again.

Dean/Rich - Yeah i might just get autometer dash cheaper and does the job ill gives the Haltech/Racpak dash one more go see what happens

Yeah, I'm not sure if the IQ3 supports a CAN bus input .. if it does, it should work with a motec no problems, but if not. You could still use it, but you'd have to buy the VNET data aquisition stuff from Racepak as well, and you'd quickly find an SDL would be cheaper.

Plus I can move it from car to car!!..

If you guys are interested, I can organise a group buys possibly?
