I lifted my car both 4 wheels off the ground to check if power can be transferred to the rear wheels since I found rear wheels couldnt drag the car to pavement even I put my foot on gas hard during parking.
One shocking findings is that the rear wheels only start to turn slowly when I already floor over half of the gas pedal?
Is something wrong with my gearbox or final gear????I suppose the rear wheel should have run harder for it is a 4WD car

:( :(

possible causes would be
a. stuffed viscous coupling.....most likely
b. broken transfer/ right angle drive.......loud so you have heard that
c.slipping clutch.....just a maybe. ets by finding a steep hill and accelerate up it in fourth gear and see if the rev climb faster than the car accelerates
d. broken centre diff again noisy and you should hear it

Hi there,

Mine is a AT car

It runs perfect with all gears and no strange noise

What can I do to solve the problem?

Many thanks!

Guys

One more question

Do the viscous coupling shares to use the ATF of the whole gearbox or I need to prepare another fluid for it?

Inside the coupling has a seperate fluid......I wouldnt be pulling that apart if you know nothing about it.....Read the below....Give you an idea of what is does and how it works...
