LSD problems?

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

UPDATE
i replaced the fluids in the diff today to Havoline 80w90 non synthetic and a half a bottle of 'lsd additive oil', the problem appears to be fixed, and it only cost $12. I did figure 8's for about 10-15 mins, and not hard clunking. The only sound i heard was a very low tone clunking that is hard to hear over the exhaust, normal from what it previously made. thankx for all the info, apprieciate it greatly.

wow, apparently i have a td06 turbo? what does this mean in terms of horsepower? and how do i read what size injectors i have and know if i have proper sized injectors for the turbo?

Find a workshop with a wideband oxygen sensor and get them to check the air/fuel ratio, if they've got a dyno good, if not a good full throttle run in 3rd or 4th on the road will do.

Having a td06 means you have the potential for more power that stock, if the car is setup right for it.

How much boost are you running?

Apparently my buddy read it wrong, it's a tdo5h, what does the 'h' mean?

generally 16g big small al depends on all the numbers on the turbo housing do a search on here as its been covered tons of times with all the different numbers and what that turbo is and its specs.

You should checkto see if the car's constant velocity joint's(inner and outer) are in a good state of repair.they will knock under cornering load if they have been worn beyond an acceptable point. Also your front diff should be an open diff(helps awd turn, and is cheaper)unless it was modified in Japan so i don't think that the diff would be the problem. If you don't have anywhere to work on you car that is nice and flat and not wet(stupid snow melting)pm me and I probably could arrange something.
I've seen your car in motion in E-town and i heard the noise.

What is this constant velocity joint? are you talking about the front drive shafts? The sound in the front end only occurs at very low speeds (0-10 km/h) turning the wheel full to the right or left, and in reverse not requiring a full turn, but is not loud by any means, i don't think you heard the front end, maybe when you heard my car it was when the rear end was making a racket.

Thanks lib found out Autobarn can get it so i have ordered some @ $22 for 2L bottle. anyone recommend any other LSD oil mayb a thinner viscosity?? im just wondering as this motul oil is the same viscosity as im using now which is 90 mayb if i get a thinner oil it may help with making it smoother on turning as my lsd is a Cusco 1-way and is kinda harsh and jumpy compared to a viscous lsd.
