painting the rocker cover

thats awesome! I have seen a CD/CE9a with that as well! 8)
 
When I did mine, I polised all of the lettering first. Then between every coast of paint(etch primer, 2k primer, base coats) I wiped the paint off the lettering with thinners. I then painted over the polished letters with 2k clear. Doing it this way, you dont have to keep polishing, or be concerned that you may scratch/damage the fresh paint by trying to buff the letters later.

Here are my colours

The top VR4 cover was powdercoated in silver

The bottom EVO cover was painted to match my car

but i think im gonna use the silver 1 and have the spark plug cover to suit my car, what u think?

what about the silver spark plug cover, on the blue rocker cover?
 
Which is better and why....

Powder coating or paint?

I like dans candy orange, but i like the red crinkle paint look.

Btw, when you take the rocker cover off, do you need to replace any seals/glue or anything? Or just unbolt, paint, and screw back on?
 
id reseal it with new gaskets for the sake of about 50 bux.......id spray paint it , its cheaperand it does last! just ask richard
