Come on crossie.....you know there is no way it's going to happen. Maybe it'll be ready for the Christmas cruise next year if you really push it now. But it's okay buddy you can roll with me, just gotta remember not to double book myself this time.

We should really do the autocross track at willowbank that rob has told us about next year, looks like fun and is cheap to hire.

I would not say that the autocross is cheap to hire at $1000 a day. Not unless you have 20+ cars to share it up with.

It is a really good track, quite suitable for street cars. It used to be a bit rocky and would tear up your tyres but since they re-did the track during the year, it's now brilliant. It beds down into a very hard clay surface which your tyres will squeal on. Semislicks work great on it.
If anyone wants to have a crack at an autocross, just get in touch with the Ipswich West Moreton car club that runs the track and find out when their next event is, then go out for a look, ask question to see what requirements there are for your car and for yourself (including licences etc) and then rock up at the next one and have fun.
You easily hit over 100kph down both the front and back straights.

Well I've done nothing about it yet. Has anyone done more than me?
If not, then I propose the following:

Meet at 9am at Milton Maccas (unless someone can think of a better place in central Brisbane (northside).

Then we depart at 9:30am and start on the 2009 Xmas mystery tour (exact route to be advised).

We'll stop and have lunch somewhere, and finish sometime later.

Tim, you will need to let me know how far you can go on a tank. You may need to drop some fuel off at my joint for refueling if your economy is up the shit.

sounds good rob. i'm proposing a southside meet point at springwood maccas at 8AM for an 8.30am departure for the Milton maccas

if an guys on the gold coast want to meet before then maybe stapleton BP near Yatala would be a good spot.
