will this set up run a 20g set up safely?

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

With a custom chip Jeff is able to get pretty close to what you need as far as fuel and timing tables go. He also compensates for the octane fuel you will be using and can set a target AFR for you. Mine is currently set at 11:1 but I do use an safc to fine tune it as every setup is different.

That said, there are limitations to getting a chip burnt such as being 'locked in' to what is on the chip. This is where an Ostrich + Turnerpro which can be pretty much used by anyone who can read has the advantage.
Dsmlink is a similar setup that has just been 'tweaked' a bit to be more user friendly.

And to just throw the cat amongst the pigeons completetly, have you look at Maftpro? It is a similar setup but you can set it up to run is full speed density mode allowing you to delete the Maf completely!

absolutely correct, in actual fact, you will find DSMLink is just a type of "Ostrich" with custom tuning software.

the difference between the two options is one is a bit more user friendly, the other is over $300 cheaper ;)

If you're planning on an on-going project, then IMO the dsmlink would be the go- if you're going to do all your mods at once, then the chip will suffice

If you are staying with a fairly stock setup I would just stick with a 16g for now.
If you decide to mod later you will probably want to go bigger than a 20g anyway :D

sounds like a 16g for me :D

This threads covering alot, and the tuning disscussions good as i was thinking about that to :D

big 16g is a very good upgrade over from 14b. will give you good drivability, and plenty of power.. I would say after the 16g you would be looking at TD06-20g for that bit more power :)

Good luck with all the choices you now have.

oh and also "PSI" is only a measure of the resistance of air flow into an engine.

20psi on a b16G with stock cams is different to
20psi on a b16g with 272's, even though its still "20psi" ;)

Finally, someone else that agrees with the way I think. Scary isn't it :D
