    Brent Rau 6.82@206

86 psi sounds about right for what Rau runs.

    EVO4 seats dont line up

Is it maybe just missing a side? On my E6 recaros, I have adjusters on both sides of the seats (the rod runs all the way through). If yours aren't supposed to have the two, it might be easy enough to pop it off and swap it around to the other side?

    EVO4 seats dont line up

I've just got a piece of sheet metal to cover the back of mine up .. you could cover it in carpet or something if you were that way inclined. I only went down the metal firewall route because of the fuel system in the boot though.

    EVO4 seats dont line up

You don't just need to adjust the sliding position of the seat on each side do you? The rails will slide out further when you pull the lever out on the side of the seat. I'm with Dan, E6 seats in my GSR, the fit straight up. Edit: Dre beat me too it :D

    VENT!

They really are a bunch of wankers huh? Personally, I don't like the car at all; it's not my style, and quite frankly, I don't see the point. But who gives a shit? I don't own the car, I don't have to drive the car, it doesn't affect me personally whatsoever. Going by the replies to this...

    Magnus rods = PAR rods

That's not the first set of PAR rods I've seen fail in exactly that fashion either. The current design was supposed to address that failure, but in turn they just end up bigger and heavier. Baz, add another $300 to whatever price you get to close/hone/balance the rods as their finish is pretty...

    Magnus rods = PAR rods

Not really. They're bulky and really quite heavy, and the finish they come with is pretty bad. You can expect to spend a few hundred over the purchase price getting them setup and finished correctly. I can understand the '93 guys using them, as there isn't a lot available, but there's plenty...

    Nankangs or not?

The kuhmo v70a semi-slicks I used to use weren't bad in the wet, but they have a more conventional tread pattern (when compared to something like an RE55 or a D01J) which would help with water dissipation. The downside of them is they are terrible when they're stone cold, even bordering on...

    Lowered Rear springs.

Have they had time to settle? I've found that springs like that usually take a few hundred kms of driving around before they reach their final ride height. I had lows (not super lows) in my car, and it was a heap more than a 10mm drop.

    Nankangs or not?

Agree K104s are shit. The Hancook distributor told me that RS2s were no longer available and that the K104s were the replacement, so I tried a set out .. and they're fucking terrible. In my opinion, the best money you can spend on a car like this is on the tyres. Going from a reasonable set of...

    [Syd] 16/9/08 - Hungry Jacks Meet-Up

Yeah, aqua golf sounds alright, that's got a decent size car park out the front. I'm good for Mondays and Wednesdays .. what suits other people?

    record on stock evo motor

I've seen 300+ on pump with a stock bottom end. There was a guy on ClubVR4 with ~295 on pump too.

    [Syd] 16/9/08 - Hungry Jacks Meet-Up

I wanted to come out, but ended up having other plans :( How about a mid-week meet some time? Maybe a Monday or a Wednesday night? I know a lot of people (myself included) will pretty much never be able to make a weekend night meet, but something during the week should be doable. Just...

This went 8.1 @ 175mph yesterday apparently - that'd be the fastest evo in the world now I think?

    Tyre size - fitting 225/50/16s.

Yeah, I've seen the rear control arms modified before, Mick's done a few cars like that (had 255s under one), but apparently it doesn't do much for the handling. I guess I'll stick to 205/215s :)

Question For The CC GSR Owners...

Apparently Mitsubishi stuffed up during the 90s and issued the same VIN to muliple cars too. I found this out when the police rocked up on my door one morning to tell me that my car had been recovered and was sitting in the police impound yard .. they were pretty confused when I pointed to my...

    Tyre size - fitting 225/50/16s.

I thought I'd start a new thread rather than polluting Doug's thread further  Is there any chance of fitting these to a GSR? I can get my hands on second hand semi-slicks in this size really cheap through a mate (There are a couple of race series - lotus cup and commodore cup I think -...
