Fuel consumption

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

yippie, finally got 300kms out of a tank, usually hovering around 250-270kms. god thats terrible.

i still havent done anything to help the consumption though, i know i have a vac leak somewhere, i bet the cats bad and the o2 is probably dead. so there is some hope.

Still haven't changed my o2 sensor as I can't get the old one out.

Have to drop in to a shop who can loosen it enough for me to remove it later on...

Yeah I can't get mine off also
If its anything like a vr4, its easier to take the O2 housing off than stuff around. Another bloke with a gsr on here had the same problem. And soak it in heaps of a penetrator like Inox or Pernetrene.
Or you could possibly cut a spanner in half, if that means you can get it in there with some clearance and hit it with a hammer like a flogger.

perhaps.

however the only difference from factory to now is a 3" exhaust and a modified air intake snorkel.
Wouldn't see that as a result of losing perhaps 50-80kms...
perhaps the condition of my gearbox is contributory to the poor economy, stays in some gears too long, doesn't downshift when it should, etc, etc.

All adds up in the end I suppose...

Come down to Liverpool one weekend and I'll do a chip for you. ;)

I'm getting about 200 - 250kms with my RVR full tank. I dont know why its chewing up so much fuel
