Help Needed!!

Got home from work today, let my GSR idle a bit as its been off for 2 weeks (ECU reset), all of a sudden hear engine revs rise, THERES COOLANT PISSING OUT EVERYWHERE!!!!

Just had new headgasket put in, head bolts, and a whole heap of other shit. The temp game was almost on full, turned off car immediately.

Heard some kind of strange humming noise.

Coolant

BTW the coolant wasnt pissing out of the engine, looked like it came out of the overflow bottle. Hope to hell no damage done to the engine, car had been out of action for 2 weeks with shitloads of money spent on it.

why was the headgasket replaced?

was the head crack tested while it was off?

Thermo's kicking on?

It could be a coolent temp sensor?

a split in a radiator or turbo hose?

Headgasket

Headgasket was replaced because it had a hairline crack in it... oil was leaking thru from the oil line out the side of the head and down the block. Ill fill the car back up in the morning with coolant/water, see how it goes. I have a feeling the cooling fan may have failed, making a constant humming noise when I opened the bonnet. The engine wouldnt have been damaged would it? Was only idling for about 2-3 minutes then I turned it off straight away.

Head

Dunno if the head was crack tested, but theres no coolant/steam coming out of the head anyway. It came out of the overflow bottle, turned into steam at pressure.
